As we welcome the New Year, we are proud to showcase one of the most extraordinary Koi varieties to emerge from Japan — Golden Corn, created by the skilled hands of Mr. Taniguchi, the renowned breeder from southern Japan. With years of experience in the Koi industry, we often have a good sense of how a Koi may develop as it grows. Golden Corn breaks every expectation. Its changes are unpredictable, dramatic, and endlessly fascinating. Combined with unexpected growth potential — Golden Corn stands in a class of its own.

🌽 Golden Corn – The Shining Star from Taniguchi Koi Farm. Created by the talented Mr. Taniguchi from southern Japan, Golden Corn is a Koi that fascinates hobbyists with its unpredictable transformation.

Watching how they transform year after year is part of the fun. Golden Corns grow large with beautifully aligned scales, and those with Ginrin shimmer in the water, creating a breathtaking sparkle in the pond.

The Ginrin type and Red Corn are especially rare and valuable. They are also known to be strong eaters — feeding them is a joy as you watch them grow quickly.

Please see the transformation pictures of his golden corn. The transformation is nothing but breathtaking. Being in the industry, I have pretty good idea how Koi may turn out as it grows.

But the change of this variety is simply unpredictable. Unexpected transformation and unexpected growth (they have DNA of over 40" chagoi) are the highlight of Golden Corn.
